Chemist in Sioux Falls in 1940s

You probably won't be able to answer this question unless you're over seventy.

What was the name of a chemist who had a shop near the post office, perhaps across the street, in the 1940s. I say "chemist." NOT pharmacist. Among other things he would fumigate houses. He was quite old. He had a Norwegian name.

I worked for him when I was in high school--but can't remember his name.

I'm guessing that would be before they turned the Post Office into the Federal Courthouse, right?

Eric Renshaw is correct. I've been gone so long from Sioux Falls that I forgot that the old Post Office is now the Federal Courthouse.
