G.I. Blind date was not isolated to the stage at The Hollywood Theatre. It was a radio show. KELO radio broadcast the show live for those who couldn't make it down to the theater.

Floyd sold his idea for G.I. Blind Date to Maxwell House Coffee company. NBC broadcast the show in the when it hit the big time, offering a lucky G.I. a chance to win a date with a famous glamour girl and a free evening at New York's famed Stork Club.
