Wahoo was a bingo-like game played in the theater between features. There'd be a spinner on the screen to indicate what number needed to be punched out of the card.

Naturally, the winner would shout Wahoo! There was a bankroll to be had for the lucky card holder. On this night, $125 could be had if one had a lucky card. Notice on the left Helmer Rierson who traded his dapper suit for overalls. On the right is Don Rock. I'm not sure who the woman in the middle is, but she has a kind face that just makes you feel warm inside, don't you think?

The Wahoo! card. Each of the circles under the numbers is perforated for ease of removal.

I'd like to see a game like Wahoo brought back to life. I'd love to see this at the State Theatre once she gets on her feet. Maybe once a month it's Wahoo night. I think a good prize would be the sort of ceramic dish you used to be able to win at a movie theater back in the golden age of cinema.
